Day 38

Thoughts: I discovered that my body is acidic today because I had lemon on my salad and it was really sour for me, and my friends Craig and Steph also had the same amount of lemon. Craig couldn't even taste the lemon and asked "Does this have any lemon ön it". Whaaaa??!!(Craig is alkaline) I was squinty at the sourness! Lemon is an alkaline fruit. So check your acidic levels by testing your tolerance to lemon! Miranda Kerr says she has lemon in water every morning.

Lemon is an alkalising superstar! Lemons are antiseptic, Lemon water has excellent digestive properties and can ease heartburn, bloating and other digestion problems, Lemon water cleanses and stimulates the liver and kidneys, Lemon juice contains calcium, magnesium and potassium, Lemon juice has been known to relieve asthma, Lemon water (hot) offers relief from cold and flu symptoms while providing some much needed Vitamin C, Lemon juice is a great skin cleanser...lemon lemon lemon!

Challenges: Today I did not organize my time, and I was left eating a mass amount of goji berries and nuts for dinner. Not so bad when you consider that some people in Africa wouldn't even eat that in a 3 days!

Triumphs: I never ever thought I would enjoy salads! I thought it was pointless in eating them because they wouldn't fill me up, leave me satisfied or taste good! But now I love them, and even get excited about them! Excited about a salad! Woooo! How can you not love something that makes you feel so good?!

AND Steph and I took some chocolate balls into Mrs Flannery's, the QLD organic store, and gave them our chocolate balls to taste! Woooo! They asked us how much to sell them? We weren't sure!? So check it out, you might be seeing the chocolate balls in stores soon! Woooo woooo organic raw goodness!

What I Ate Today:

Breakfast: 2 chocolate balls. Goji berries.

Lunch: An amazing raw salad with green lettuce, spinach, alfalfa, advocado, mung beans with an olive oil and lemon dressing.

Dinner: lots of goji berries. Brazil nuts, cashew nuts, macadamia nuts and walnuts.

Dessert: no dessert.

Snacks: a beetroot, carrot, celery and ginger juice.

Cost: From the organic store we bought mung beans: $2.99, advocado $1.89 for two! Thats cheaper than the supermarket! Some more cocoa powder for our chocolate balls $8.30 and hazelnut meal $10.88 and hazelnuts $6.63. The other ingredients for the chocolate balls and the salad we already had.

Recipe: Get creative with salads! Put your favourite nuts, berries, fruits, vegetables in a salad and make it raw! You will feel so healthy and alive :) I love strawberries, broccoli, advocado, sprouts topped with olive oil and lemon dressing! MMMM

Exercise: A run and a swim at Surfers Paradise!!! alivenessss

328 days to go!!!
