Whether you have cancer, acne scars that you believe may be with you for life, diabetes, a rare disease, cellulite, excess weight you believe you can never shed, heart disease or any other illness, Napoleon Hill proves in this book multiple times how people are using their desire to achieve what they really want.
He says "Several years ago, one of my business associates became very ill. He became worse as time went on, and finally was taken to the hospital for an operation. The doctor warned me that there was little chance of ever seeing him alive again. But that was the doctors opinion. It was not the opinion of the patient. Just before he was wheeled away, he whispered feebly, "Do not be disturbed Chief, I will be out of here in a few days." The attending nurse looked at me with pity. But the patient did come through safely. After it was all over, his physician said 'Nothing but his own desire to live saved him.' Be never would have pulled through if he had not refused to accept the possibility of death."
"I believe in the power of desire backed by faith, because I have seen this power lift men from lowly beginnings to places of power and wealth; I have seen it rob the grave of its victims; I have seen it serve as the medium by which men staged a come back after having been defeated in a hundred different ways; I have seen it provide my own son with a normal, happy, successful life, despite Natures having sent him into the world without ears.
Through some strange and powerful principle of "mental chemistry" which she has never divulged, Nature wraps up in the impulse of strong desire "that something which recognizes no such words as impossible, and accepts no such realty as failure."
This is true for me too. When a pre-cancerous tumor popped in my neck, my desire was to heal it naturally and continue living. I did not accept it to get worse and for me to get more ill. I did not ever explore that path of the tumor getting worse. And in 3 months the tumor was gone.
Another story that is fascinating and extremely inspiring, and a man who really tested what actually is possible, he is know as "The miracle man", Morris Goodman who crashed his plane and was paralyzed from head to toe. The doctors said he would be a "vegetable" for the rest of his life. A machine was keeping him alive and helping to get oxygen to his body. He said "that's how the doctors saw me but I didn't. I started to piece my body back together one by one, using my mind. First I started to breathe on my own. Then one body part by body part started to connect. I kept visualizing a vision of me walking out of the hospital by Christmas. Death and failure was not an option." And by Christmas he WALKED out of the hospital.
It shows us what is possible. And I'm not at all saying doctors are wrong or bad, they are extremely intelligent human beings who have helped millions of people. This blog is intended to show you what is possible even with a doctors opinion that you may never survive or you will be stuck with an illness for the rest of your life. It's ultimately you who chooses what possibility to live into. You may need to be constantly surrounded by inspiring stories that keep you in the "anything is possible" world. Listen to them non-stop, and read about them constantly so that there is no room for doubt.
I am excited about all the possibilities that exist. My new book the Earth Diet that has over 300 recipes to assist the body in healing and nourishing and comes out in 275 days!
Love Liana
