While you are on this search for nourishing your body & soul let me challenge you on 2 things you mentioned above. <br /><br />(1) doing ab work at gym is perpetuating a myth driven by ads for us to look "slim" with flat tummys. The returns for doing ab work do not justify the time put in and focus on them. Unless you are building your abdominal strength for a particular activity that requires it (Brazilian jiu jitsu fighters who wrestle a lot on their back come to mind as one example). Doing ab work does not make you lose weight, does not make your stomach flatter... it simply builds the muscles in that area and does not affect the fat sitting on top. I know I am making assumptions here re your motivation for ab work, but I have yet to meet a single person who has not been doing them for mis-directed reasons. The time is better spent training large muscle group or cardio.<br /><br />(2) saunas are incredibly unhealthy and also perpetuate another myth. A sauna dehydrates the body and there is no natural reason why you would want to dehydrate your body. Many believe they can lose weight using saunas, but we know this is simply body water loss which needs to be replaced.
